What To Expect in Psychotherapy with Eddie Reece

Today we talk with Eddie Reece, LPC on What to Expect in Psychotherapy

Eddie is a psychotherapist with a private practice in Alpharetta, GA. He also describes himself as a reluctant writer who avoids writing by playing golf and music whenever he can. His diverse background (read lots of different jobs), allows him to relate to a wide variety of people whether he is in his therapist office or filling up a blank page. His practice focuses on helping people get along, so he named my business Getting Along, Inc.

His diverse background includes working as a bartender, sales trainer, singer, grocery clerk and was even an Air Force officer. His master’s degree in counseling is from Georgia State University And his varied counseling career includes business consulting, professional development, working in a psychiatric hospital, the juvenile court system and drug and alcohol recovery treatment centers. While he has been in the helping profession since 1987, Eddie has been in private practice since 1992.

Eddie has also been an adjunct professor of counseling at Argosy University where he taught graduate students for several years. He is a member of the American Academy of Psychotherapists and former member of The Licensed Professional Counselors Association of Georgia, where he served as Public Relations Chair. He is also a former committee member of the Southern Region of the American Academy of Psychotherapists and a member of the now defunct Psychotherapy Guild.
